About Registered Dietetics

Meet the Team

  • Co-Owner & Nutritionist

Of all the jobs I dreamt of having, a nutritionist was never one of them. I was raised in a meat, potatoes, and canned corn kind of family that never saw many fresh veggies. However, when a family member was diagnosed with an advanced cancer I dove into the world of integrative and alternative care.

I received my Certified Nutritional Practitioner (CNP) training from the Institute of Holistic Nutrition in 2013 and am a Registered Orthomolecular Health Practitioner (ROHP) through the International Organization of Nutritional Consultants. Additionally, I have attained the Certified Holistic Cancer Practitioner (CHNP) designation through Edison Institute of Nutrition. I am currently studying under Dr Aviva Romm as I complete her 10 month Women’s Integrative & Functional Medicine Professional Training Program.

I began my nutrition career working as an online educator developing dietary programs for over 10,000 individuals with LULORA. I was a nutritionist and the Vancouver Island Clinical Director at InspireHealth, a supportive cancer care centre partially-funded by the BC Ministry of Health, from 2013-2019. I worked alongside medical doctors, clinical counsellors, kinesiologists, and a team of holistic nutritionists. I have also been a faculty member at Pacific Rim College since 2015 and teach numerous courses in their three year holistic nutrition diploma and the doula and herbal certificate programs.

I am passionate about whole foods consumption and menstrual health. My clinical practice focuses on gynecological conditions, fertility, prenatal & postpartum care, menopausal support, and hormone-sensitive cancers. I take an educational approach and seek to empower women to understand the subtle cues and signs of their bodies.

  • Registered Dietitian

I bring a unique perspective to patient care, believing in meeting you where you are in your health goals. My approach focuses on tailoring solutions that align with your individual needs and nurturing a positive relationship with food. I redefine the "food police" dietitian and instead strive to create a warm, accepting, and encouraging atmosphere where you feel empowered to embrace your journey to wellness.

My educational journey began with a Bachelor's degree in Human Kinetics, as I had an interest in science and exercise. It was during a transformative period studying abroad in Australia that I discovered my passion for nutrition. This led me to pursue a Bachelor's in Applied Human Nutrition and Dietetics and begin my journey as a Registered Dietitian.

I'm dedicated to providing you with exceptional care and unwavering support on your journey to well-being. I've integrated my empathetic approach with my academic background to offer you the best care possible. I'm here to accompany you every step of the way. I'd love to work together to embark on a journey toward a healthier, happier you.

Outside of the clinic, you'll often find me immersed in a good book, whipping up something yummy in the kitchen, reading up on the latest nutrition trends, cherishing moments with loved ones, or staying active.
